As You know that JKAS is a three tier examination. Candidates who qualify the preliminary test are qualified for the Mains examination in 25:1 ratio of posts available. Candidates qualifying mains exams are called for interview in the ratio of 3:1 of the total available posts. So it's very tough to reach the their stage that is Interview. More precisely the third stage is called as Personality Test. In the new pattern, interview weighs about 250 marks. In the previous exams of 2016 batch of JKAS, the highest marks achieved by a candidate were about 190 out of 250. So achieving more than 150 is a good Score. Moreover it's also important that Mains examination marks also matter a lot. If a candidate gets good marks in mains exam, he or she should not worry about the interview marks. The first fact is that section 93 of JK Reorganization Act says that PSC will remain as it is.  Second fact is that according to SO 144 issued on 29th April 2020 by the government, the 50% post of Tehsildar will be filled through Combined Competitive Examination to the Junior scale KAS which is conducted by JKPSC and another  50% of posts of Tehsildar will be filled through Departmental Promotion Committee /JKPSC(limitation of Functions) Regulations, 1957. Thirdly Jammu and Kashmir is a large Union Territory as per Administrative point of View so administrative Posts  filled as in other UTs through DANICS AND DANIPS is not possible for this UT.
