How do you feel inside the Interview Panel Room?  

 

 

It's the condition of a candidate who is a first time qualifying for  interview. Getting a call letter for JKAS interview, one may feel excited to go for interview of JKAS. One side candidate become little nervous and other hand the candidate feels energetic and confident. The candidate starts preparing for the interview. He/she moves here and there to collect material for study and attends the mocks etc. Candidate buys a special formal dress for the interview and lot of things for the same.

 On the day of interview, the candidate is much excited and he or she don't know what to do now. The candidates looks at the watch number of times in order to know how much time it left for the interview. Candidate starts moving towards the JKPSC office. On arrival in  the waiting hall the candidate sees other candidates sitting in the hall waiting for their turn. 

Many candidates are sitting in waiting hall. Some are watching mocks in their smart phones. Some are reading newspaper of the day. Some are busy in gossiping with one another. Some are sitting alone being nervous of interview. The candidates now feel little comfortable with others. Soon someone calls from inside and the candidate approaches the room for Verification of his or her original documents. After verification of original testimonials, candidate is again asked to sit in the same waiting hall and wait for a call to go inside the interview room. The candidate is advised not to take his or her Pen inside the interview room. He or she may or may not take his won personal documental folder inside the interview room. Some candidates do not carry folder to interview room. It's a choice not mandatory. Before the attendant calls the candidate's name for entering j to the interview hall, he or she gets a final looks of the body and dress up in mirror in the near washroom.

Now their is a sound of bell ringing from inside the interview room and soon a attendant calls the candidate to enter the interview room. The candidate take a deep breathe and open the door of interview room. Candidates ask for the entry permission to the chairman inside. Chairmen or any other member looks toward the candidate on door and allow his or her entry. The candidate is told to take the chair and sit properly. The candidate should put his or her folder or document on the table In front of him. There is a pencil or pen and a small peace of paper placed already on the table In front of your chair for any calculative type of answer. 

The interview panel consists of about all the members of JKPSC sitting all around a long rectangular table. The chairman and the candidates are sitting in front of each other at the two ends of the table. All other members are sitting on the two sides of the table. There are about four member in each side of you and one chairman making total number of member as 9. 

The candidate is still little nervous. The chairman and other members are having there own discussion and it's the time to adjust oneself in the interview room. Panel gives good time to take your seat and feel good. Members are so humble that they allow us to feel at home.

After few seconds of adjustments the chairman begins the interview and the first question is Introduce Yourself.  

The candidate starts giving his or her introduction calmly. 

After introduction the chairperson, ask some questions related to Hobby and finally leave the questioning part to the next member.

The next member ask one or sometime two questions and leave the part to the next member. This pattern of questioning goes on.

By this time the candidate starts feeling at home and sometime members are also so Frank and they starts smiling and laughing at their own words or at some points and this make candidate feel much at home and  allow him or her to express in an effective way. 

Panel wants candidate to be at an ease so that the candidate may express his or her opinion in frankly and without fear. But still sometime candidate feels uncomfortable and afraid and starts missing the points he wish to say. At this time the member also tells to take time and then answer. So it's better not to be in hurry but take good time about 5-10 seconds to think about the question and then say your answer. Listen complete question and then take about 10 seconds to build your answer in the mind and then start to reply. 

So one by one each member ask one or two questions and finally as the last member ask questions he ends there and may say ok Thank You. Now you may Go. 

The candidate is now free. He/she feels good after good interaction with the panel and leave the room by final greeting.
