Overview of JKAS examination.

JKAS Examination:     Jammu and Kashmir UT Service, better known as Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), is the prestigious service in the UT of J and K. The JKAS Exam is conducted by JKPSC (Jammu Kashmir Public Services Commission) at UT level. The exam is conducted in three stages. The first stage is preliminary test (PT) which is just a screening test to allow students to sit in the next stage of examination. The next stage is Mains Examination. After qualifying this tier, the candidates are called for interview. Interview (Personality Test) is Conducted  by a panel constituted by JKPSC Chairperson and members. Final result of JKAS exam is declared after this stage. Then JKPSC send the selection list of qualified candidate to Government  Medical College Jammu and Srinagar for the medical examination of the selected candidates respectivly. JKPSC has released the  notification for the year of 2023 to conduct the KAS Exam 2023. 


KAS exam better known as JKAS exam now a days. 

In the current notification of KAS exam 2023, the breakup of post advertised is given below.

A total number of posts advertised is 75.

Breakup of posts in 3 different services is as 

25 posts for Junior scale Administrative services 

25 posts for JK Police Services 

25 posts for JK Accounts Services

JKAS CCE 2022 Final Result

 JKAS CCE 2023 Final Result  JKPSC has issued the final result notification for the JKPSC CCE 2022 recently with Notification no. PSC/EXAM/2023/S/37 dated 22-09-2023.  JKPSC 2022 notification was issued for 220 no of  posts.  A total of 34121 candidates applied for the examination while a total of 4944 no of candidates were declared qualified to appear in the mains examination.  As per rules, about 787 candidates were declared qualified for personality test.  Finally 218 candidates were selected as per annexure II of the notification, to be qualified for the said exam and were called for medical examination in their GMCs.
