Overview of JKAS examination.

JKAS Examination:     Jammu and Kashmir UT Service, better known as Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), is the prestigious service in the UT of J and K. The JKAS Exam is conducted by JKPSC (Jammu Kashmir Public Services Commission) at UT level. The exam is conducted in three stages. The first stage is preliminary test (PT) which is just a screening test to allow students to sit in the next stage of examination. The next stage is Mains Examination. After qualifying this tier, the candidates are called for interview. Interview (Personality Test) is Conducted  by a panel constituted by JKPSC Chairperson and members. Final result of JKAS exam is declared after this stage. Then JKPSC send the selection list of qualified candidate to Government  Medical College Jammu and Srinagar for the medical examination of the selected candidates respectivly. JKAS CCE 2022 Final Result

 JKAS CCE 2023 Final Result  JKPSC has issued the final result notification for the JKPSC CCE 2022 recently with Notification no. PSC/EXAM/2023/S/37 dated 22-09-2023.  JKPSC 2022 notification was issued for 220 no of  posts.  A total of 34121 candidates applied for the examination while a total of 4944 no of candidates were declared qualified to appear in the mains examination.  As per rules, about 787 candidates were declared qualified for personality test.  Finally 218 candidates were selected as per annexure II of the notification, to be qualified for the said exam and were called for medical examination in their GMCs.   Appointment of JKAS 2023 Batch. General Administrative Department, UT of Jammu and Kashmir has issued the Appointment order in favour of 187 Newly selected JKAS officers in thr three categories viz Junior Scale Administrative Services, JK Police Services and JK Accounts Services. The posts were advertised by JKPSC under direct Recruitment quota throigh notification of JKAS Examination 2021. The appointees shall be on probation of 2 years during which they shall undergo such training and pass departmental examination as prescribed under rules. The appointees shall join at  JKIMPARD (Jammu and Kashmir Institute Management, Public Administration and Rural Development) for joint Foundation Course as the training. The training of the new officers shall be governed by New Training policy notified in 2019. Seniority List of JKAS Officers/Junior Scale Level.

 Final Seniority List of JKAS Officers.  Govt of Jammu and Kashmir through General administration Department  Order No. 429 JK (GAD) of 2023 dated 05-04-2023 ,  has finalized the Seniority List of Junior scale Jammu and Kashmir administrative Officers (JKAS officers).  The seniority List comprises of only Junior Scales Officers with Pay Level 8 from batches including 2011, 2012-I  2012-II, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020. So the final list includes the Officers of a 8 JKAS Batches.  The total number of JKAS Officers figuring in the final seniority List is 567.  This is also clear that 567 JKAS Officers are not yet promoted for a single time. However some of the members of batches including 2012 batches have been given Non functional Grades that is Pay Level 11 under the Non functional Scheme which was valid up to 2023.  The list shall be updated regularly and new upcoming batches of JKAS Officers shall be included accordingly into the list and promoted Officers shall be deleted from th
