Number of KAS posts advertised Since 2009

We have collected this information from various advertisement notifications, result notifications, annual statements of JKPSC since 2009. This information is complied in such format in order to make aspirants more aware about the number of posts of JKAS that has been advertised by JKPSC from time to time. Further the new aspirants will be helped to know the number of candidates apply every time and also know about the level of competition in JKAS exam from time to time.

This is mere an overview of number of posts (KAS) advertised by JKPSC since 2009 up to 2018. As we know that number of posts advertised time to time depends on the number of vacancies of KAS in different Departments. Some times there are more vacancies and other time very few. We have analysed that as the number of posts are more, the number of candidates who apply for the posts are also high. In 2009, there are the highest number of posts advertised for KAS. This pattern shows that more number of vacancies leads to more Competition. But the real fact is that only few candidates are more serious about the examination. Many candidates apply just for the sake of trying to qualify but they don't have clear mindset to get the post. So actually the competitors are less in number. Although the syllabus and pattern of JKAS exam now has been changed and made same as UPSC civil services, but pattern of competition among JKAS aspirants will remain same. There is clear cut difference between the number of candidates applied for Preliminary test and number of candidates actully appeared in exam. As we know from the figures that after 2016 exam, only 70 posts have been advertised in 2018 and this recruitment process is still processing due to delay in framing JKPSC body. Hence we can expect lot of JKAS post in near future. So aspirants should keep going to prepare for the upcoming exam.
Thanks to be with us and keep following to remain motivated for JKAS exam.
