Overview of JKAS examination.

JKAS Examination:     Jammu and Kashmir UT Service, better known as Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), is the prestigious service in the UT of J and K. The JKAS Exam is conducted by JKPSC (Jammu Kashmir Public Services Commission) at UT level. The exam is conducted in three stages. The first stage is preliminary test (PT) which is just a screening test to allow students to sit in the next stage of examination. The next stage is Mains Examination. After qualifying this tier, the candidates are called for interview. Interview (Personality Test) is Conducted  by a panel constituted by JKPSC Chairperson and members. Final result of JKAS exam is declared after this stage. Then JKPSC send the selection list of qualified candidate to Government  Medical College Jammu and Srinagar for the medical examination of the selected candidates respectivly. Interview session:
Candidate entered into the Hall and greeted chairperson and all board members.

Chairperson: Introduce yourself
Candidate: My name is Amit Kumar I m basically from district doda. I did my post graduation in Botany from University of Jammu in 2015. Previously I worked as lecturer in Botany in district leh for two years.

Chairperson: how many times you attempted for this exam.
Candidate: I appeared in 2013 exam but could not qualify PT. Then second attempt in 2014 but couldn't qualify mains exam. It is my 3rd attempt and first Interview.

Chairperson: tell about your hobby .
Candidate: playing musical instruments like guitar , mouth organer etc.  for relaxation of mind in free time.

Chairperson : tell about ethnicity of ladakh.
Candidate: ladakh has many ethic groups residing there. Some examples are
1.The Dards are a group of Indo-Aryan peoples.
2.Brokpa tribe is also a Aryan race residing in some area of leh and kargil.
3.The Changpa or Champa are a semi-nomadic Tibetan people found mainly in the Changtang in Ladakh
4.The Tibetan Muslims, also known as the Kachee, form a small minority in Tibet.

Member 1: tell me about the Leh Berry
candidate : Mam Leh berry is a small berry found only in vast area of leh. The berry is orange in colour and is rich in vitamin C. The berry is used to make protein rich juice. The juice is mixed with other juices.

Member 2: tell about the flora and fauna of Leh.
Candidate : sir various animals found in leh are Yak, black necked crane, Wild ass, Snow leopard, Double humped Cammel, wild dogs, etc.

Member 3: what are the I'll effects of Global warming
Candidate: affects agricultural produce, extreme weather condition like drought and floods, tsonmis, sea level hike, polar ice melting, loss of biodiversity, etc.

Member 4: tell me about any recent big global level consensus regarding Carbon emission
Candidate: Cop 21 at Paris 2015, where each country has to reduce their carbon emission as per their own norms.

Member 5: what is main cause of Earthquake :
Candidate :( movement of Tectonic plates) I have wrong answer as Valcanic eruption.

Member 6: what is the relationship between Botany and Zoology.
Candidate: botany and zoology belongs to biology subject.basiclly they both are the studies of living organism. Both subjects are inter related to eachother as many beaches of botany and zoology are basically same thing like cell biology, genetics,molecular biology etc. Basic difference is the cellular structure of Plant and Animal cell.

Member 7 : tell about green house effect.
Candidate: It's basically the trapping of sun heat by the green house gases of earth like CO2, Methane, etc which makes our earth's atmosphere warm.

Candidate: Thank You sir.
